Looking for critiques on my latest fursuit and a question about green furs.
So I recently finished a pre-made fursuit and I was hoping to get some critique on it!
I tried some new stuff out on this one and I think I did pretty good. Following eyes, moving jaw, and building it on a balaklava are just some of the new things I tried on this one.
And an Imgur link to more photos cause theyre kinda big: http://imgur.com/a/nujR9http://imgur.com/a/WQME4
Now im working on a new personal suit, and im having some issues with locating the two different greens on my characters cheeks below. I know I always have the option to dye fur for the color I need, I would just like to find a matching fur before doing that.
Open for commissions!
I'm making fursuit since 5 years ago and now I want to make commissions for people to make them happy. But like I'm new, I'm part of the unknown fursuit makers...

FS/FT: Digilegs stilts (aka Weta Legs)
Reminder: Rarsuit Roundtable @ FurCon! Saturday 2pm, Blossom Hill I (Marriott 3rd floor)
So! I've got these digitigrade stilts. Sometimes called Weta Legs...though Weta ultimately declined to produce them, ownership reverted to the inventors, and the stilts are now sold by Area 51 as Digilegs.
Been fun and interesting, but I decided they're too unwieldy for costumes I had in mind. So if someone wants to buy them, I'd entertain offers...this includes trades with rarsuit makers.
Info and stuff at www.digilegs.com . These are the "taller" size (knee-to-ankle of 420-500 mm), with "small" calf (340-390 mm). I'm 6'0", 175#...these will not work on shorter and/or significantly heavier people.
New, the stilts are around $900 USD, plus ~$150 for shipping and ~$70 import duty. These have been walked around the park a few times, so adjust accordingly. Taking serious offers (including trades, partial trades, etc.), send a note if interested. I'll be at FurCon, can deliver in person.
EL Wire lights in a fursuit?
Here's the design: http://i.imgur.com/dCqvkfu.jpg (Yes, All the circuits need to light up :'D)
I do plan on purchasing a few different rope type lights but this one seems the most promising since it doesn't heat up and is actually meant to be worn. But what about washing the suit? This has me worried since once I get all of the lights in place, I'll have to sew them in place so they won't be removable. Is dry cleaning an option? I've actually never had anything dry cleaned before but as the name suggests, am I assuming that it IS an option?
Let me know what you think! I'd love to know if you've worked with this stuff or have a better alternative. Thanks!

Fur Dilema
I'm working on my very first suit but I've made quite a silly mistake with purchasing fur. So I have a color that I don't need that I'd like taken off of my hands. I figured this would be the place to go!
SO, a while back I decided that I was going to make my first suit because I'd finally moved out of my parent's house and was free to do all the things I'd wanted to! Haha
After looking for fur suggestions on here I landed on Distinctive Fabrics. I ordered swatches from there without hassle, 4 of them. A white, a green, and two shades of their camel fur. The regular and the light. I settled on the light because I thought it was perfect for my character so I went to go order as soon as I got the swatches!
TL;DR
SILLY ME I guess I wasn't reading in all my excitement because I accidenty ordered 2 yards of DF's standard camel, long pile fur.
The fact that they have their light camel available for swatch order but NOT regular order baffles me.
I'm honestly not sure what I want to do yet. I'd love to sell it so I can get the correct color fur. I might be willing to trade if someone happens to have the color I need! It's still in the plastic bag that I recieved it in, only taken out once for me to get sad when I noticed that it was a little on the darker side of what I'd thought I ordered.
Here's a not-so-great picture of my head at the moment, if you're curious to see. ;o
If you want me to post up a fur picture let me know!

A question about claws
I thought this was asked already but looking in the memories yeilded no results so my question is. Over a year ago I heard about making claws that could work as a stylus on a touch screen phone like an android or an iphone. I know its some sort of wire you can put in the claws but what is it and how can you make it into the claws is my question ? I'd only want it in three of the claws on each hand.
Me and my friend are making a pair of paws and I wanted to be able to use my phone while wearing them since I plan to give them a bit more dexterity than regulare fursuit paws.
Any advice ? I also want to go off of a more regular glove pattern vs sandwhiching the two peices togther. The paws will also be webbed with the base made out of fleece or something similar since they are dragon claws/paws. This is the character in mind: https://www.weasyl.com/character/16006/majin-romanov-marx
The project isn't exactly a fursuit persay its more of a jacket with gloves and caplet.
Clever squeakers and LEDs
I got sucked into Homestuck by my best friend and I'm making us twin suits for an upcoming con.
The characters in mind are Karkat and Gamzee, just as lions (like in the fan oriented Petstuck).
If you're not familiar with the characters, Gamzee is like a clown... Literally. He says "honk" a lot, so the idea would be to put squeakers into the suit. The two of us agree that putting them practically everywhere would be really annoying and can't think of any cutesy places to hide them other than the nose, which won't work. The hair? Handpaws? ...?
The other question I have is, how would I hide LEDs in follow-me eyes? Can I put them on the top and then hide them with eyeliner so they're not too obvious?
Thanks, any input in the suits at all from fans would be cool. They'll be toony partial suits.

Need help figuring out how much fur I need
This is my sona. The amount of stipes on her face, ears, snout neck, back, and tail are exactly how many there will be on my suit. The stripes on her shoulder and thigh will also be on the other side and of the same size. I need enough to have some room for mistake, but I'm also on a budget. Can anyone help me figure out how much I'll need? I'm going to order 1 yard tonight because I need some before the weekend
Removable eyes and Mohawks?
I'm looking to install some toony/kemono style eyes (probably without the shiny bit, as I want maxium breathing...space) I want to make it easier for me to wash a head.
Examples:
And does anyone have any ideas a partial mohawk? Just the very front. :< I want to avoid using a foam bit, or Kakeleon, though I doubt I can use Kakelon, given the color I need.
What I'm talking about :
Fur colour advice?
So, I'm gonna try my hand at building a suit again but am struggling with picking out these colours. I was very clever and made a character with colours I can barely put a name to, haha. I've had a good look around but ain't having much luck so far. I was hoping that somebody with a greater knowledge of furs could point me in the right direction.
This first suit iteration of the character will be a red ruffed lemur so I was looking for them in longpile furs if possible. The lighter greyish brown colour is for the fingers and eyebrows so shortpile could work there. I figured there'd be a rust available somewhere, but that weird cold brown colour in the middle is my main issue right now. I'm not even sure if it exists in fur. :P I could always use blacks and greys instead but thought I'd try my luck with the original colours.
I also live in the UK so if anyone would happen to know any sites that won't charge millions for importing fabric I'd really appreciate it.
I'm not too familiar with purchasing furs other than the shag on fabric.com so any advice I would be extremely grateful for! Thanks a lot for your time!

"The Magic Disappearing Paint Act"
Normal angle: http://www.ezimba.com/work/150119C/ezimba16923634572900.jpg
SUDDENLY: http://www.ezimba.com/work/150119C/ezimba16923667622900.jpg
So, can someone explain what exactly is going on? I've re-painted these eyes several times on the heads I've had this happen to and I can't figure out what the problem is. When taken off, the paint stays on the back of the resin eyes so it's not that it's getting ripped off.
I haven't furred either of the heads where this is occurring so I can't say that the fur will magically help it.
3D printed/plastic follow-me fursuit eyes that can be washed
We just got given the go ahead to try out the 3D printers at our Uni, and I've been given permission to try them out and was going to construct some follow me eye blanks in Maya to print.
(I've been given full permission to use the machine for such a print by the way, don't worry!)
I have experience with Maya, in that I am doing a 3D Animation degree.
I was wanting to ask if anyone had any experience with this before?
I'm ideally wanting to make my head properly washable rather than just spot-cleanable.
If the 3D printed eyes don't work out, I was looking into making plastic ones.
It's more the iris/pupil that I'm concerned about. My character has blue irises and a black pupil btw.
I believe Matrices has made plastic eyes before that, correct me if I'm wrong, are fully washable? Same with Jillcostumes?
Like I said, if anyone has any experience or advice on this I'd really appreciate it :)
