My boyfriend has bought a skull resin base for a mask, and he is wondering what the proper way to paint it is.
It is one so these -
We would like to stain it or paint it to look like a real skull. Would it be best to sand where we want to paint and use acrylics and make sure to seal it well, or is there a better method to 'age' it? He wants it to look realistic, and not cartoony. I've never worked with resin before, so this is a whole new ballgame for me! Thank you in advance!
