How to fur a fursuit head with fleece?

So i have looked all around and found a general idea how to but this is my first fursuit so really just how do you do it? People say that they pin one large piece to the head and then sew/glue it down but how do you even do that if you take it off doesn't it lose its shape? How are you suppose to even sew fleece to a big awkward blob of foam? Please help, step by step or large detail would be nice  /~\

I have since taken the duct-tape off of the head, and idk if I will even need it now from seeing what people have said about how to fur these, but these are the best pics I have and there is a video because her head is an awkward shape, any other critique would be appreciated as well:
