Changing into fursuits at conventions

Hi.

Has anybody run into the situation of not having a room in the same hotel as a furry convention and wanting to change into your fursuit for the convention? I am trying to figure out a way to make it work. If there is a fursuit lounge/headless lounge I assume one could change there but it would still be a matter of hauling all your fursuit there and changing from your civvies into your fursuit and, later, changing back. Where would you put your clothes while fursuiting or your fursuit when changed back? Most headless lounges I have been in do not have a privacy screen or a place you would really want to change in front of strangers, or a safe place to store your clothes, although I would be personally willing to do so because I enjoy fursuiting so much. I suppose I could change in my car but that would be difficult at least (damage to head, tail, etc.)
