Looking for some constructive criticism and redlines

I'm working on a semi-realistic costume that is a cross between an alligator and a lion, so it works along the lines of a more realistic gorgonopsid than the flesh-over-bones dinosaur depictions you always see. Because this is for a haunted house and has a blacklight clown theme, it's less about caturing realism than it is about making it look decent as a whole and it being creepy/scary.

Basically, I'm asking for some help in figuring out if I've fudged the anatomy of the two creatures in a good way, because I've been staring at the damned thing too long and have lost perspective.

Also, I'm not sure about what to do with the ears. This isn't going to have a mane, so I'm not sure whether no ears, rounded ears, or pointy ears would look best.
