Long hair on a fursuit head?

So I'm finishing up on my second fursuit head. This one is made for a friend of her deerish character. Anyway! She has super long bangs/hair on her head and I'm kind of at a loss as to what my best option could be for her. I was originally going to try using yarn, but I realize now the yarn I got is a tad lighter than the shade of brown fur I used on her, so that's not going to work until I can find something darker. Before I do that, I was curious of other options some others may have tried and had success with? I've seen some tutorials and such but what are your personal favorites? I understand wig hair can look really weird on a fursuit, so I'm not really sure about that. ^^' Suggestions?
