Big puffy paws and a jawset?

Any tips on making paws so big and fluffy like these? I really love the huge paw pads but would rather make them out of another material--something shiny like vinyl. How can I achieve the same 'finished' looking result?

also does anyone know of any makers who would be okay with making a jawset for a resin head by another maker? I'm contemplating getting a resin head from stuffedpanda but I'm not a fan of taxidermy jawsets. :c
