So I'm going to Alcon ( Anime con in England) in September and I'm going to be cosplaying a Kokatorimon from Digimon.
Here's a quick suit doodle
One thing I'd like to do, is to try to keep it from being too "fursuit-y". I'd like to incorporate patterns and code - since a Digimon is digital and man-made, I think this'll look good and keep the costume interesting. I guess something similar to a stage costume, a Lion King Broadway one. I'll be using textured pants/trousers for the legs and some real feathers in the comb.
Also, with the feet, I think I'd like to use wellie boots with foaming and padding and then using stretched tights/stockings to go over them. I remember my mum had a large 'tights butterfly' which was made this way and the grainy texture and any runs that form might add to my synthetic look.
I'm unsure what to do with the eyes. I'm thinking of getting some of those "cranemachine balls" and painting the insides, as they're about the right size.
The wings I would like to make " puppetted". I've seen these monster-hand tutorials going around and I think I can get the wing-fingers to curl with my own
So yeah, input and ideas on - mixing patterns into suits, the stocking-feet and big eyeballs!
