'Sup ya'll! I'm treading into new waters with an itch to build Tre, my canine mutt. I've lurked for years (in fact, I'm still going through the memories and compiling everything I can), but there are some things I haven't found an answer for. I hope you guys can help!
For example, I found myself curious about using ivory instead of hard, stark white for some of Tre's markings - but having seen now swatches of DF ivory and white, I'm worried that the ivory or another similarly off-white color would come off as aged or yellowed instead of just soft. Is the difference noticeable on a larger scale?
Also, I'm having some trouble nailing down Tre's main fur color - it's almost a desaturated tan. The DF swatches of camel are lighter than I'd prefer, and I'm still waiting on Mendel's swatches (I ordered Sand, Light Honey, Toffee, and Copper just to be sure). There's also the palomino fox fur, which I've seen pictures of in action, and it looks great! But again, I don't think it's quite as close. I don't mind bending a little, but would anyone be able to tell me if I'm even headed in the right direction for that tan color?
