One of my best friends commissioned me to make a fursuit head of his OC and so far everything's been going GREAT and the head looks amazing! I'm really proud with how it's turning out.
I just have one issue: The base is a balaclava base. However, I want to make it so that way the head can fit most people without having to use a zipper.
He owns a few other fursuit heads and I'm deathly afraid of screwing up and having it not fit him or having it too big. Most importantly, I want it to fit him (24"), but if there's a technique for making it fit anybody that'd be great!
I haven't worked with balaclavas in 2 years and I LOVE this method, but the back of the head is going to be killer... Is it possible to make a skin out of fur, sew it along where the facial fur ends and then sew the bottom of the balaclava to the bottom of that?
Thanks! :D
