Hey all!
so my art teacher assigned our final project today. And well you can do anything you want but it has to be art show worthy. So I want to do a velociraptor mask. I am wanting to make the base to work off of from clay and then let it dry/harden a bit so when I build the mask over it, it wont lose its shape. I already know plaster is too weak and I really do not want to do paper mache unless I have to. Silicone and resin are out of the question just because its way too expensive for me. Also the mask will function just like a resin blank. Any suggestions on materials I could use that is a reasonable price and found in the USA for the base of the mask?
