Zipper on the head

As some of you may recall, I'm working on a partial. The head is a balaclava/foam base. This head is sort of difficult to pull over my face with a somewhat-fresh eyebrow piercing as well as it's hard to get off the mannequin head. I've heard of people doing the zipper method before but I have literally no idea how to do that. The fur is luxury shag caramel, not shaved, and the head has plenty of "scruff" - front and back - to work with.
