2 Resin Heads

Here are 2 resin heads that my boyfriend and I have made. They are my first resin heads. I have finished 2 foam heads before a few years ago but wasn't happy with them at all.





The first one is my fursona, Roxy Shadowpaw. She is a Folf (half wolf, half arctic fox).





I am happy with the shape of the head. The main problem with it is the vision, I can only really see in front of me which made me quite nervous walking around. So this is definitely something I will pay attention to on the next resin head I make.
Also the jaw doesn't move as much as I wanted, partly because it might not be in the right place. It kept slipping further under my chin.
The ears aren't very stable. This is because there is a gap between where the resin head ends and where the ears are. I know to make the resin come further back over the head next time.
The neck also needs to be fitted better.

The second head was made for my boyfriend, Hunter. He is a red fox.





It is his first fursuit ever and he is happy with it except for a few things.

The lower jaw should be slightly further back and the jaw does not move much. The whole muzzle is a bit too thick also.
The eyes are not looking forward and are looking out a bit. This was hard to notice somehow when we put them in.
The ears are also not very stable on this one because of the same problem, the gap between resin and where the ears are.

I would like to maybe add black around the mouth/lips but I'm not sure if this would sort of wreck the look of them. Also adding hair would help make them look more like our fursonas. Long dark brown fur spiked up for Hunter and a human hair wig for Roxy (would rather not use a shiny fake-looking wig).

Even though there are a lot of problems with them, we are happy enough with them and wore them to MiDFur last month.

I can't wait to start on more resin heads and this time  I shouldn't be in any rush and will have more time to make sure it turns out better.
