Is Velboa fur acceptable?

I haven't posted in sooo long! But I've lurked! :D

So, I'm currently planning two new partial suits. I'm trying a face I've never done before: the Bull Terrier. I'm making twin characters, actually. But Bullies have this short, short fur, nearly skin! And i was wondering if it was acceptable to use this Velboa fur I found?

My question about acceptability is will it be too light? Will things show through, is it weak? How does it stand up to hot glue? Have any of you ever used it before?

And (sorry for so many questions!) could anyone point me to some Bull Terrier suits or give me some tips? I've been doing a lot of concept art, which I hope to upload for you all, so you're not doing all the work, I promise! I just wanted some extra help; I want these suits to be extra special! ;u;
