I'm at a complete loss on how to go about making sock paws. I went through the memories and could really only find dead links and taken-down youtube videos. The one video I did find on youtube wasn't really helpful, as it didn't explain how to achieve the look I was going for. I'm trying to figure out a way to make sock paws that are relatively slim and comfortable for indoor wear-something along the lines of these:
I don't understand how to build up the sock to get these shapes. In most tutorials, they say to just sculpt the toes and fur; but these examples appear to have more padding than just toes- (i.e. the "flat bottom" of the paw and the ankle area). They also don't go over how to attach foam, add paw-pads, claws, finish seams, etc.
I've seen a few posts that described alternate methods to making these by stuffing a "shell" rather than sculpting with foam. I've also looked into flexible spray foam to cast the shape from a clay sculpt, but I don't know where to begin with such a method- though I wish I did, as I'm much more comfortable with clay than shaping foam.
Long story short, I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial or video that could help me in creating some sock paws! Any advice or links are greatly appreciated, thank you!
