How does everyone glue edges of fur? Like on the jaw, around the nose and around (toony 3D) eyes?
I tried folding and glueing the edges before glueing the face to the foambase. But it still ended up kinda messy. I do not use a gluegun btw, but Bison Tix glue.
Could I perhaps use fleece to hide the edges, like on some noses?
Here's an image explaining:
A:- the edges that are being glued are lined red. I'm curious on how you all do this?
B:- Fleece or black fabric around the eyes & jaw. (how I do it) The nose is polyfilled, pinned to the muzzle first, then carefully glued around the edges.
C:- Folded edge on the jaw. The same goes for around the eyes and nose.
D:- Fleece border around the nose to hide fur edges. Either one whole piece, or a long piece with ends glued together.
Please let me know what you think, and how you handle this!
PS
Some pictures of the actual project:
I think the only thing I can do now is just do a cover up (for the eyes) and add painting to the nose a bit!
EDIT::
Painted around the eyes, nose and jaw and that kinda fixed a lot! Although will be doing differently on the next suit!
