Hello, LJ- (sorry for multiple posting, I wanted to get my last question out before I start up my next project)
Previously, I lined my fursuit ears with fleece after taping the head up, then glued the ear fur on, also gluing the "lip" that overlaps the inner curvature of the ear. I cannot stand how the seams look and feel- I think I just have problems with glued seams in general.
I know I could simply incorporate the fleece lining into the tape pattern, and sew the ear fur to the lining, but then attaching it proposes a problem. Pulling the ear "sleeve" as one whole piece over the ear would be difficult since foam is squishy and has a relatively rough surface (fur backing does not slide smoothly over it).
Any suggestions as how to fur the ears without gluing any seams?
My next question is straightforward; how do I sew the lips to the lower jaw? I can't find any examples of how to do this. I glued them before, but, again, glued seams don't agree with me.
Thank you.
