I'm going to try and make one for a partial I'm working on! However, I've never made one before and they seem a bit trickier than a a more "standard" tail. I've looked but wondering if anyone has seen/made a tutorial on this? I know there are a lot of variations between AD tails, but something basic that covers some patterning (looking to make a longer tail though not a floor dragger) with feathers (I'd love some insight on making and attaching the feathers especially) if anyone has WIP pics, I'd appreciate anyone willing to share those.
Lastly, would it be good to just stuff this kind of tail? Or is it better to do some foam on the larger tails? I'm guessing this one will be around 3-4 feet probably depending on whether or not I have enough fur.
A hearty thanks to any who can lend some insight on this! I was thinking of doing like a top and bottom piece for the "main" pattern pieces of the tail because I feel like then I can sew the feathers in more easily that way (as opposed to like...two side pieces or something as that's how I usually do my tails) but not sure!
Whatcha guys think?
