First Fursuit Head- Ace the Red Panda/Cat Hybrid

I recently finished my first head. As I said in the title, his name is Ace and he is a red panda/cat hybrid. There are feetpaws, handpaws, a bodysuit, leg padding, and a big tail to go with it.

Things that need improvement:

The head is rather uncomfortable to wear because it's so close-fitting. Not because it's too small, but because of its base. I really should have used the bucket-head method.
Vision is actually really good, but I don't have a very wide range of vision at all.
I should have carved more space for my nose, because it's squished inside the head.
The inner lining (I had to cover up the raw foam exposed into the inside of the head, if that makes any sense) is scrappy and rough.
There are little glue stains on the inner mouth lining and lips.
The final coat Plasti-Dip on the nose dried unevenly, so it looks like a "snow-nose" in some lights. Not terrible, I suppose.
The eyes are not very well attached, and the raw edges of the plastic are showing at some angles.
The eye color smudged a bit after I applied an acrylic matte finish.
The raw edges of the ear fur are showing.
Some of the raw edges on the jaw are showing.
The inside of the balaclava isn't attached to the neck, and the neck itself is a bit big. (There are a few folds and bumps when I'm wearing it, but it's not terribly noticeable)
You can feel some of the seams on the head. I should have blanket-stitched them.
There is an extremely ugly glue seam at the back of the left ear. You can't see it, but you can feel it if you get your fingers down into the fur.


I've got plenty of mistakes to show for this head. All in all, though, it was a great experience making it. I learned a lot, and it was the most fun part of the suit to build. I'm looking forward to building another head.
