Mashine Washable

I'm working to improve my fursuits with regard to quality, and at the moment one of my priorities is getting them to be machine washable for maximum durability.

I just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction with this? I'm particuarlly concerned about the paint running on the eyes. Is there anyway to 'fix' acylic paint in place so that it will not run in a cold wash?
