...So I messed up. Mouth lining advice?

I lined the upper and lower jaw with black fleece; on the roof of the mouth, the fleece is lined perfectly. On the bottom, however, I accidentally trimmed the fleece unevenly, leaving a very ugly edge. What should I do? I don't want to progress any further lest I damage it further.
