So I'm going to be adding scales into fur on a suit, and wanted to use foamies as the scales.
Want to heat seal them, paint them a little, and seal them. But I don't know if I actually can make this so it is machine washable. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would it hurt the foam itself? Is there a specific sealant to use that would make this all ok? (Heard of Plasti-Dip, but never used it, and don't know if it's good for this specific problem/ask.)
I'd rather not go the way of fabric scales, and can't make the scales removable since they'll be attached to the bodysuit. The scales will only be on specific parts of the body, but hygiene is important with suit wearing, so the backing will still need to be cleaned.
Anyone? If there are any suggestions or answers, I would be TRULY grateful.
