What type of finish should I use to preserve fursuit eyes?

I'm in the process of making fursuit eyes out of buckram and acrylic paint. I'd like to know what finish to use on them so that they are protected, keep their color, and overall to last... I hope that isn't an odd question to ask and that I've worded it okay?

I have Krylon workable fixative and Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear... would those be OK to use?
