So hi everyone. I’m back again and wanted to post a little update one some new foamwork I’ve done. I’ve been spending a lot of time working and developing my style! (I will totally post a comparison from my beginning to this when it’s done!)
So far this is my favorite foamwork to date. This head is going to be for a friend so I am okay with constructive crits on it as I am always looking to improve! ^_^ Any tips or tricks or advice on what I should work on would be great! I have really been working on getting a consistent pattern to work with on beginning and building up almost every foam head that I make. Ive learned that It helps keep things consistent and in tune with my style. I of course experiment and tweak other parts of the head depending on what species it is and what mood or expression i am going for.
This head for my friend is going to be a skunk ultimately in the end. They were asking for a happy, feminine smile/expression to be put into the head.
So here is a bunch of angles of the foam work so far:
I am really liking how ive been doing my "Toony cheeks" lately, I have a couple different variations I have tried (All ive generally really liked, but I am most pleased with this one) If you are curious about the other variations ive tried take a gander here at these:

***Also not that the black lines are fleece and I use them to reinforce my bases to help them last longer.***
I know what I need to work on next is ears. They seem to give me trouble in terms of placement mostly - but sometimes shaping them throws me of too. This head is gonna skunk as I had mentioned before. I don’t really like how the ears look on this too much. Any suggestions? Do they look okay? Should I move em? I tried referencing images of skunks for aid and maybe its just me being a worry wart, or maybe they just need built up a bit and fleshed out with fur to look a bit more normal. Who knows, if you have any suggestions let me know, if not hope you enjoy the photos and stay tuned for more progress pics!
