After months of stalling and researching, fearful to actually mess anything up, I endeavored to finally start working on a fursuit head for my mate using a fox resin blank from Dream Creation Studios.
So far all I've done is attach the resin base to the dummy with a strip of foam, glue in the eyes and put the buckrum in the tear ducts for vision:
I don't want to mess this up so I wanted to come to this community for advice on the next steps.
So from here I want to
- foam the outside of the mask to pad
- foam the inside to provide cushion
- put in the teeth and mouth
- put the eye lids on
- Put on the lips
- Foam the ears
-Then do the duct tape on around the whole mask for the pattern for the fur
-Cut out the fur
-Sew and glue it on
- Shave the fur
-Profit?
If anyone can let me know tips and tricks for proceeding on this, I would be most appreciative. I know there are Dream Vision Tutorials out there, but they are often really long and I have a short attention span. Please let me know if you happen to have a more concise and abridged how to on this matter.
Thanks in advance.
