It took ages and he's a liiiittle lopsided but I'm very happy I was able to get so close to what I intended to do. Reading everything in this community's been a huge help. I'll have Henley at Anthro New England, pics after the cut!
His neck fur's in the mail and I haven't figured out what design to put on his plugs yet, but I think he came out really cute. I haven't seen another winking head before.
Furring was really daunting to me since I have bad time keeping hot glue drips from getting on the fur fibers, so instead I tailored the fur tightly to the sculpt and stitched it down to fleece I'd glued to the foam underneath. I used a little glue in spots I couldn't get my hooked upholstery needle into.
I also got all the fur for this head from a scrap bag I bought off etsy- if anyone else is on a budget, you may find something good there, too.
