Padded Paws?

Hi everyone, a friend of mine is making a fullsuit with exaggerated arms and feet, but neither of us have ever made padded arms before. Is it the same as making digi legs where you use stuffing/foam? Also, how should we go about making padded handpaws? The look she's going for is very similar to this suit here- http://www.furaffinity.net/full/13921984/
