Different types of fur

Hey all! I hope this entry isn't too vague but I need some advice.

I consider myself a newbie maker and I primarily work with luxury shag furs. I just got a new personal suit from AutumnFallings and AJ went out of her way to find non-shag furs for my suit and the quality is absolutely outstanding. Her fur doesn't get crimped or messy looking at all while my other suit, made by me with luxury shag, needs a brushing after a short amount of time.

That being said, I would really love to stray from using LS and venture into different type of furs but honestly, I have no idea where to start. AJ says my suit was made with cubby/teddy furs and I'm not sure what those are. I know it's also got bunny shag but I'm at a loss when it comes to identifying the longer furs on my suit (other than gorilla shag). I've worked with beaver fur and really loved it.

Is there anyone that could just put together a short list of the different types of furs and the best place to find them? I usually order from fabric.com and refuse to go to Distinctive Fabric but I know there are so many other sources out there.
