Am I safe with a high gloss finish: clay originals for mold?

I am just showing my present work on my paw pads which I intend to create a high gloss finish on the finals, which i'll be safe with making the molds using oomoo 25 (not using dragonskin or silicone specifically for the finals, I have my own ideas with different products and routes to take after the mold is done so a hard mold right now isn't what I want at this time).

I have done 4-5 coats of gray gesso on these, sanded them down with fine sponge sandpaper (I tried the 600 ultra fine sheets but eh wasn't really what I expected). I still don't see an ultra shine yet, of course i'm really wanting the shiniest possible coat on these.

I DONT want to ruin these, I wanted to ask if sandpapering these after super thin coats of glossy black spray paint and/or also high gloss art finish would be safe, without nasty textures ending up on them. If I am careful enough, is this the route to take? I'm not seeing any shine on these yet, they are super smooth though! I considered nail gloss clear paint but the brush would not be good.... If I pour it on it might be alright but i'm scared to screw up so i'm considering the spray paint ideas.

( I spent like 9 hours or more on these things! They are super valuable to me. I will probably make some resin versions as backup! )

Should I apply a thin coat of vaseline to these before I pour in the silicone? If its thin enough I expect there not to be brush strokes or texture. Same with using it as a mold release. I know that the spray would be fine, but from what I hear just vaseline yields good results if it is not thick.
