putting fleece on a head?

i haven't really seen any kind of tutorial or video of someone putting fleece on larger areas of a head (i.e. more than just the nose)

i was wondering how exactly you're supposed to go about it; cut up fleece like fur using a duct tape pattern or just stretching it over an area as best as you can?
