Recommendations for thread and solid material?

Hey gang!

I was wondering what kind of thread you guys were using for machine sewing bodysuits and the like these days? I have a higher end home machine (Bernina 1008). Getting tired of high prices for the small spools at JoAnn's, I know there are better options out there, looking for brand recommendations for both thread tensile strength and economical price.

Also, what is everyone using for outdoor foot soles? I've been using car mats, but a little bit of the fuzzy carpet side sticks out between the bottom of the foot and the rubber sole, maybe a little nitpicky thing, but it bothers me. Also I feel like the rubber part could be thicker!
