Cleaning mold

I just wanted know after spraying melaleuca oil (tea tree oil) on your fursuit head does it kill mold? Is it safe to wear your suit's head after it's been sprayed with melaleuca oil and dried off or do you wash it before wearing it
My suit's head isn't lined with balaclava it's just a full foam head although I wear a balaclava whenever I wear my suit
My fursuit head doesn't have mold I just want to know in case mold grows on my fursuit head.
