Minky Fleece for Inner Ears...Yay or Nay?

Heyo! First post here!

My name is Faux, and I'm going to be starting my first fursuit soon. Since I like to plan everything ahead of time, I've gotten most of my colors decided in terms of fur. Except for one thing.

My fursuit's inner ear color is impossible to find in fur without being terribly inaccurate to her reference. I did, however, find this fabric that is perfect for her inner ear color. One thing I like about this fleece is it's double-sided to look like fur on one side, saving me the trouble of finding expensive purple fur and shaving it down.

It wouldn't be a huge deal if I used this, right? Would it hold up okay and not pill, or at least not badly? Since it's an area that won't be getting a lot of physical attention, I figure maybe it's safe to do.

I've heard a few things and seen a few things in the memories and the opinions seem conflicting, and the material I want to use hasn't been specifically referred to as far as I can read. I know people want to use Minky FUR a lot which is a bad idea for the most part, that's what I've gathered. But Minky Fleece...would that be acceptable for the ears, do you think?

Or would I be better off using something entirely different? Because I'm having the hardest time finding a light enough shade of purple, and would prefer not to use pink.

If you've used minky fleece (preferably from syfabrics), examples of how you used it and how it has held up over time would be appreciated. As would some alternatives of roughly the same color (VERy light lavender)

Thank you very much in advance!
