future head questions

I'm currently finishing refurbishing an older head I "mostly" completed, and pretty happy with how she is turning out. I certainly made a lot of mistakes, but I think in the end she was a huuuuge learning experience (never give up!) and picking up this project after letting her collect dust in a bag for nearly two years has reinvigorated my passion to more actively pursue the craft again!

ANYWAY, I'm not sure if this idea I have in mind will be my next project or a few down the line, but it's one I've been putting a lot of thought into lately. I'd really LOVE to make a Boston Terrier suit -- but I'm not sure how/where I'd start! I've been playing with the idea of maybe investing in a resin blank to see if I can't try my hand at padding up one of those, but I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better (for this project) just to carve something out myself? Any suggestions? The thought of the pushed in muzzle and those droopy cheeks sounds so cute, but scares me because I'd want to do it right! Thoughts on that front?

Also, thinking about going semi-toony with this one ... and I was thinking what are your opinions on what to use to get those big round eyes? Right now I'm considering ordering something from DVC but wanted to hear what you guys thought too!

Oh one more thing? I really want to make sure I get the head shape right (I love their little space helmet ... or fish bowl shaped heads) would I need extra padding to emphasize this characteristic you think? As always, I appreciate all your feedback!
