Clippers making fur frizzy?

When I trim fake fur, the fur seems to get kinda frizzy. Could it be the clippers, or that I'm doing something wrong?
Clippers are made by Conair. They were probably cheap, I didn't buy them.
Anyone else ever have this problem?
