I've been hand sewing just about everything I have made. But today my mother gave me her Sewing machine since she doesn't sew much anymore and she knows how much time I've been spending sewing commissions. It's a Brother model. It's somewhat old but hasn't been used much. 15 different stitches and all of the parts seem to work well. But can Brother models plow through fur easily? And is there a certain setting/tension/ stitch length that's recommended when machine sewing fur? And what kind of stitch should be used? (Ive seen mixed answers in a post but most agree with a zigzag..)Should I experiment with a scrap piece of fur? I thought there was a post about this awhile back but I can't find it anymore. I should have bookmarked.
