Caring for Suits with Wefted/NFT Accents

Quick question:

I'm making a suit with a mane down the spine and long elbow fur. I'll either be wefting these accents or using NFT fur.

How do you care for suits with these things on them?

How do I brush them out? Wash them? I just want to make sure that I don't do anything wrong that would cause my suit to grow bald spots; I usually throw my suits in the machine and I feel like this is not the best way to go about washing a suit with wefting/NFT.
