Zippers always getting caught, needing better method from now on.

Hello, so i've been using tutorials and all kinds of things for my zippers.

I've used large toothed zippers and just tried a hidden zipper but the fur constantly gets stuck. I want the fur on the back to remain the same length to hide it as much as possible so shaving the fur wont be what I hope to do.

I don't actually understand the visual tutorials or the written out descriptions very well, i'm very visual and detailed and only seem to get confused. What i've been doing is sewing the right fur side of the fabric to the right side of the zipper, face up. Same with the left side so that it's inside-out sewing to each side. However, I don't know exactly what tutorials are trying to show - are they sewing the zipper facing inside of the suit? Wont that still catch the fur?

I was considering sewing the zipper to fleece and then the fleece to the fur in between the space for the zipper and installing a flap that has velcro to cover it... But it's very complicated and may be even harder dealing with velcro AND a zipper.
