2 Aussies on da front page! :V
Would've finished this guy sooner but we were in the middle of a move.
Things I did right:
- Hand-sewed all the markings without a problem!
- Symmetry is good.
- All the markings were sewn so there are no bumpy / hard spots from dried glue. The suit is very plushy and snuggle-able.
- Tried my hand at using magnets instead of a zipper in the back... with great success! You can't even see the seam :3
- My boyfriend says it's very comfortable and breathable with an excellent field of vision.
- I think I did a good job of shaving the fur and making everything look smooth. There are still a few spots on the muzzle that I'd like to even out.
- FLOPPEH EARSSZZ!! <3
Things I did wrong:
- The jaw is eeever so slightly off, but you really don't notice it at first glance.
- Follow-me eyes don't really work.. I mean they kind of do, but not really. Need to find a better way to make these...
- The head needed to be tightened up because it was a little loose for my BF. Also the back of the jaw needed to be padded with foamies so that it would move properly, but I guess this is normal for moving jaws? I'm starting to see why a lot of suit makers don't offer them. What a P.I.T.A. -.-
- I always seem to wind up with a little patch under the neck that I can't sew or glue together, so there's just this hole there. No big deal, it's covered up fine by the fur, but it annoys me that I somehow always end up with a small hole in the neck area.
- Jaw isn't as sensitive as my Platinum Fox suit. Could be that the elastic was too tight.
- There are a few spots on the right side of the muzzle where I nicked the fur with the clippers and shaved down to the backing, but you really don't notice it unless you are very close up.
