Well there are some things I found to make things quicker and cheaper. Remember though cheaper dosen't always mean better. Ok so here we go!

Autozone has car washing sponges that make awesome foam. They are very thick and are easy to cut.I use them a lot for muzzles and facial features. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/AutoZone-Easy-grip-bone-sponge/_/N-25vs?itemIdentifier=558601_0_0_They also have microfiber cloths which make a cheap substitute for short fur.http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/AutoZone-6-pcs-microfiber-ultra-soft-spa-polish-towel/_/N-255s?itemIdentifier=87784

Joanns has darice designer craft fur , which can be dyed with some paint. The fur is nice for detailings or for your whole suit!http://fursuit.livejournal.com/5737298.html

Simple eyes can be made out of some paper. Color the iris with whatever you like and cut a circle in the middle. Laminate your eyes to make them shiny and durable. Cut the hole in the middle out once again. Stretch a square of black nylons across the back to make the pupil. Glue it down. Yay! Easy eyes! If you want semi-following eyes, once you get to the laminating stage, simply take your fursuit eye and press it to a bowl (color side down while it is still hot) to get a curve in it. They should appear to follow you! You can see an example of them in here: http://fursuit.livejournal.com/5744564.html
