Advice: Late DTD+Measurements from the commissioner? - RESOLVED

EDIT2: Resolved

THANKS EVERYONE!

We got things squared away ok.

Turns out the original deadline plan got scrapped, since they're no longer planning to hit up the con they needed the suit for, so it's more a floating deadline, and something I can work on after the move. I'll be getting the measurements in a couple days, and payment's gotten worked out too.

Thanks again for everyone's advice and input, and thoughts on updating my TOS to cover stuff like this. It's been a mega-great help :3

-------------------------------
The original issue:

Since I'm just doing this as a 'what do???' post, no names are being named, but I have a commissioner that's wanting their suit done by mid october. This was the agreed upon completion time, since the commission was officially accepted back in july, and the down payment made in the beginning of august, but here are my problems.

I JUST recieved the DTD, which was armless *not THAT big of an issue, since arms are a basic pattern to make.

They haven't made the monthly payments and still owe everything over the material deposit.

I've been asking for basic measurements for hands/head/etc and haven't gotten that information either.

It's getting down to a serious crunch time for me as well with an upcoming move, and I'd really wanted to be able to get this suit finished before said move *moving on the... 19th/20th and we still need to pack things, so I've only got maybe a week before everything grinds to a hault* But I'm kind of at a stand still on working on this suit because of missing information and the missed payments make me nervous.

Should I just go ahead and try to guess at some average measurements and get started on it, or keep stalling on working on it and hoping that I get the measurements soon? And I'm really bad about talking about money, so prodding for payment makes me feel horribad guilty for some reason. <:/

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your input so far!

I think I know what I'm going to do with this now, though (and I guess, input on if this sounds like a good approach or not would be super helpful, too)

Since the deadline for this suit is very fast approaching, I'm going to give the commissioner an ultimatum. Politely, of course, but this is it. Either supply the measurements I need in a day or two (which would be about the absolute most crunch time I MIGHT be able to pull off). If I don't get the measurements by then,we push the deadline back to my next open spot for deadlines *February* or we cancel the commission and the material deposit is void, since the actual material cost for this project so far has gone above and beyond the initial estimate, and I'll send back the DTD to them and cover the shipping myself.
