Silicone pawpad problems

I wanted to give it a shot at silicone pawpads. I have experience working with silicone so that wasn't an issue.

However...I was having a problem getting any proper castings out of my hydrocal mold (similar to plaster)

weird thing is...the first time, I got the color I wanted for the most part, but there are these strange spots on it. So I cast another set to see if they were just deflated air bubbles...nope, doesn't seem to be. Because the exact same thing happened with the second one. Its looking like its a problem with my mold itself...recommendations? I really don't want to hae to make another mold and resculpt the pawpads....but I will if I absolutely have to :/

(its for a realistic bear suit btw)

The lighter colored pawpads are the ones I did the first round. Second round, after sitting for many hours, refused to cure fully. (may be a fault on my part for the mixing) There are fewer toes then I really need because some floated...so had to be removed. -_- so it takes longer to recast more.
