Hey guys! So there's a furmeet at the end of the month I want to go to, and I'm gonna be fursuiting. However, before that I want to change the mesh material in my suit's eyes. Right now it appears to be buckram or another type of stiff fabric mesh, but it's really tight with small holes and hard for me to see out of, and impossible in darker settings. The vision is probably a 5/10. That being said, I don't have much else to compare it off of, though, since this is the only suit I own (but I have peered through others). So maybe it's not as bad, comparatively, as I think.. anyway, I can't make out who people are if they're more than 6 feet away from me, that's what's most frustrating.
Here's the best example of the eyes I have. As you can see, even with flash and up-close, the fabric still looks almost completely opaque. is that just what buckram is, or is this more tightly woven than usual? Also, the white is painted on.
Anyway, long story short, I'm just looking for other options. So, what do you use for eye mesh for plastic 'toony eyes and what would you reccomend? I was thinking of trying a plastic canvas sheet (the ones used for knitting – I know that's what was used on this suit head ).
