So here is my first fur dye attempt. I was going for a very light gray color. It wasn't very even, but I only meant to dye one side of the piece so that is why it looks like that.
So here is a comparison between some black fur (local find), white fur (also local find and is the fur used for the dye test), and just a regular gray.
I am happy with the color I came up with, but want to do some more testing. Brushed out the fur doesn't feel any different than it did before dyeing. So I'm pretty happy with that.
My biggest reason for trying to do this is I want to create a dark gray fur for a upcoming suit. My biggest concern though, is that it will be a full suit eventually and I need the color to be the same on all of the parts. Is there a way to do large pieces of fur? Like a couple yards or so?
