Mmkay, so I'm gethering up materials to begin furring and finishing my first fursuit head, a two mouthed feline, and I had a few questions before I begin.
This is a foam base, but due to the complexity of the character, vision is through the mouth and not the eyes. It works well, but since vision won't be through buckram over her eyes, what should I use for them? Should I still use the tried and true plastic bowl method, or could I use foamies er something a bit easier to work with? Keeping in mind, her eyes are just plain white, so there won't be any detailing on them at all.
Secondly, due to a few medical issues, I have trouble shaving heads. I twitch very randomly, which makes controlling the clippers a bit difficult, but I can shave very small areas for very short periods of time. Would it be alright to use seal fur for her muzzle area, where the fur is normally a little shorter, and then blend it into longer pile fur, such as DF white or monkey shag, so her cheeks look a bit more puffy?
Lastly, what magnets would one recommend installing for a detachable hair tuft? I've seen some debate about whether rare earth would be the best way to go for something of that sort, and was curious to what you all used ^^
