Hello,
Somebody in the family has pinched my Super Beaver from Bartfields to use as a backrest. In the process of doing so they scrunched the fur up and packed it down tightly, utterly damaging the shiny watery-look pile on the fur side of the fabric. Of all the things in the house, why that! It wasn't even in the way. Grrrr! .
A few people in the past suggested using a warm hairdryer, and an iron in tandem with a gentle brushing. I've attempted both. The hairdryer and low iron setting is not working out... Super Beaver has a shimmery watery look to it, the heat seems to be destroying the gloss.
Would LOVE to hear any suggestions at all. I'd love to salvage this fur if I could, about $60AUD worth of it has been crimped and damaged.
