Welp I've decided to do a realistic cosplay of Discord from MLP so I'm going about trying to figure out what types of fur and fabric I should use for his various parts. What I'm really stumped on is his lizard/dragon leg, eagle arm, and snake tail. At first I thought of using fleece but then it pills, so I was reading though the pages here and saw this stuff http://www.syfabrics.com/Browse.aspx/Stretch-Ultra-Soft-Cuddle-Fur-1-8--Pile/422 which is what Caninehybrid used on her Shadow Lugia. Is one better than the other in means of sturdiness? Are there any other fabrics like synthetic leather or vinyl that could be used instead?
Also his mane... Would wefting Kanekelon or using NFT fur be more realistic?

And here's the fur breakdown I have so far:
1. Main body color: 3 yards DF brown
2. Head: 1 yard DF grey or crs Gray Frost teddy fur
3. Mane: Black wefted kanekelon or NFT fur???
4. Lion arm: 1 yard mendels caramel
5. Eagle arm: 1 yard yellow fleece???
6. Horse leg: 1 yard Mendels toffee
7. Dragon leg: 1 yard green fleece???
8. Snake tail: red fleece??
9. White fur accents: NFT white or long pile DF white
