Hey all! I'm currently working on building a German Shepherd half suit for myself by modifying my canine resin blank.
(By the way, my resin blanks are $10 off through January 1st)

I wanted to take on a project that showed an example of what a finished mask blank could look like with some foam customization. The goal is to finish this project before Further Confusion in January.
Here's a preview of the concept art I've been working on, as well as a guide to help you understand how some foam padding can really go a long way in changing the look of the character when working from a resin base. To achieve this, I cut off the mask's nose and built up a lot of padding in the bridge and upper lips to really capture that GSD shape. I'm also looking to attempt digitigrade leg covers which I haven't too often seen.
This mask currently features:
-Canine resin blank w/hinges from CanineHybrid Creations
-Canine silicone nose from CanineHybrid Creations
-Canine jawset from DreamVisionCreations
-Canine tongue from DreamVisionCreations
(So yes, for those wondering, Monoyasha's jawsets do fit in my blank! You'll just need to cut off the sides a little on the upper jawset's gums to fit into the top of the mouth. They don't go as far back into the mask;s mouth as I would like, but I likely won't have the time to finish my own jawset sculpt before the deadline).
Also works amazing with large wolf taxidermy jawsets.
I sculpted the pawpads a few weeks back, they are made to perfectly match my CanineHybrid werepaw logo :3 But I did them before the concept art and now I think they may be a little too small for my suit that has such big feetpaws. So I think I shall be re-sculpting a larger version. The current ones are "normal" hand size (6.5in from fingertip to bottom of palm).
Also a closeup of my noses... *squish!* :3
Lastly, I got an industrial compressor and a compression chamber from my parents for Chirstmas- meaning I can now airbrush and do pressure casting to get bubble-free results. I'm so excited to try it out and I'll let you know how that goes! I shall be starting on the feetpaws this weekend so expect another update soon. This is still really early into the build, but I welcome all comments, critiques, and questions since it's easier to modify earlier rather than later.
Feel free to follow the Flickr album for continuous updates too [link]
