Alternatives to white fur or advice to make white fur look good for years?

Hey! I am new to the fursuit making scene and is currently trying to save up to make a fursuit and in the making of a character, I want to make a cat but I know all black is a bad idea for photos ect and white details get dirty and bad looking fast. I wonder if there are some kind of alternative to white fur that still would look good? I sort of want a tuxedo cat or like a tabby with white markings. So all advice is welcome! Even how to get white fur looking good for years.
