On the subject of fursuit eyes and furring

So, it was hard to find specifically what I was looking for,

but on the subject of a resin base and on the more realistic side of things, I've been looking into creating a fursuit head with a base for the first time. The thing that has been leaving me stumped is the fursuit eyes themselves, I'm trying to make a seductive looking character and it seems hard to achieve this look and I'm a bit lost on why some resin base eyes that get used seem to lose a lot of expression and can look a bit dead?

I was thinking it's in the eyes part where some of the eye is covered by the eyelid which seems to be this black molded on piece? If that makes any sense, but a lot of people seem to leave the entire eye piece uncovered by any sort of eyelash or eyelid, but how do you make said pieces? It looks like clay to me

this suit for example

>>> seems to have a lot of expression in it and has a general feminine tone, I'm trying to recreate that but in a fox character, what would be my best bet? I'm thinking of this base but unsure of what eyes to use since they are only 1.5 inches

also looking for a base similar to this one and in the eyes as well as I'm making a suit for my boyfriend

I was thinking the DVC cat base but they seem closed but it feels pretty similar to this one?

oh and how exactly do you get the fur so smooth looking on the base? I've seen a lot of bases used and I really don't want the fur to look choppy, how can I avoid that?

Thanks!
